Panchmura Mahavidyalaya, established in 1965, is a private college affiliated to the university of Burdwan. The college is situated in Panchmura, Bankura district of West Bengal. Panchmura Mahavidyalaya offers UG courses in the field of Science, Commerce/Banking, and Arts/Humanities. The courses offered are BA, B.Com, and B.Sc.

Established in 1965, Panchmura Mahavidyalaya is the first rural degree college and third undergraduate college in Bankura. It was named after Panchmura, renowned for its terracotta crafts not only in the district of Bankura but also in India. The college is the manifestation of the long-cherished dream of the locality to bring the light of higher education to the cottages of marginal farmers, land labourers, and the poor.

Setting off its enlightened journey with limited resources and infrastructure, the college has been steadily augmenting its infrastructure and resources to offer contemporary undergraduate courses in Arts, Commerce, and Science.  Because of the suitable courses and programmes delivered by energetic and experienced professors and teachers, adequate infrastructure and facilities, and active and cooperative office staff, the college was accredited with a B+ grade by NAAC in 2007 and 2016. Students and teachers join in on this festival, which comprises many games, dance shows, fashion shows, robot fights, and many extracurricular activities. The college ground is taken so as to erect a stage wherein many artists are called to perform for the students by the university. Only college students are allowed in this festival and outsiders can gain entry to some special programmes through paid tickets.
